Successful urban plants

INFARM’s Israeli start-up team is funded by the EU EuropeanPioneers programme.

In a hall in a rear courtyard in Berlin, Israeli Guy Galonska and his team grow plants that require neither soil nor sunlight – and intend in this way to revolutionise food supplies for urban communities. Their start-up INFARM is now one of the 13 teams from five countries that have since August 2015 been funded by the EU EuropeanPioneers programme. Each company receives EUR 175,000. A total of 660 start-ups from 45 countries applied.
