Festival of new ideas

 

At the DLD Tel Aviv Innovation Festival 2015 technologists envision the future.

 

Since 2011, it’s been a fixture in the global tech scene: Not just Israel’s high-tech members will be meeting up at DLD Tel Aviv – DLD stands for “Digital-Life-Design”. As Israel’s largest technology event each year the innovation platform attracts investors, technologists, and corporations from all over the world. One reason being that Israel boasts such advanced technologies: It is the country with the highest number of starts-ups per capita in the world, and an unusually large number of multinational research centres have set up shop in the country.

 

The chairmen are German publisher Hubert Burda and Israeli technology entrepreneur Yossi Vardi. What is today a global network (with DLD events held, among other places, in New York, Beijing, and Moscow) actually started out life in Munich. There the Hubert Burda Media corporation hosted the first DLD conference in 2005.

 

The event in Tel Aviv has a quite special form. Alongside the actual two-day conference there will be a festival that runs an entire week and is spread around all of Tel Aviv.
