Light speaks all languages: the Festival of Lights is cooperating with the Israeli Embassy in illuminating Berlin.

 

Light speaks all languages: the Festival of Lights will light up Berlin from 9th to 18th October. To mark the jubilee of the initiation of diplomatic relations between Germany and Israel, the embassy of the State of Israel is cooperating with the Festival in transforming, for example, the Brandenburg Gate into a projection screen for international understanding. Light artworks by national and inter­national artists will engage with the friendship between the two countries, addressing the theme on landmarks, monuments, buildings, streets and squares. The light artists will work with projections, 3D video mapping and installations. Two million visitors are expected and will be able to discover the installations throughout the whole city by bus, boat, Segway and on foot.
